Sprintbound Cafe is a home grown
eatery serving great fusion
Malaccan cuisine. Yes, fusion
Nyonya cooking - the first in
this country and another
wonderful addition to our local
culinary scene. The brief for
their flagship outlet in a well
known KL shopping mall requested
for a modern contemporary design
with a feel of the old Melacca.
Basically a mixture of the old
in a predominantly new setting.
While navigating a host of
incoming retail and event design jobs, I
took some time off to update my
compilation of mecha/robotic designs. I
haven't forgotten the Retro Robot Attack
Series, a compilation of mecha art that
I plan to publish as a coffee table book
or a visual book or something like that.
Above you can see my latest creation, a
hovercraft transport thingy. It features
thrust boosters and is designed mainly
for personal transportation and for
terrain mapping. Yea, I just made that
up on the fly. Drawing these things are
really rocking cool. Its my childhood
all over again.
My design of the
Chess/Clock set was published on several
design blog sites. First picked up by
Tuvie.com, a site that
showcases futuristic designs concepts,
it was later featured by
Trendhunter magazine,
Hardgeek,
Interior
Design Room and
Instablog.
This indeed fantastic news for
me..:)
Here, we have a smart device
that offers a dual function. A digital
clock on one side with some funky
interface designs, turn it around and
play a game of chess on the other. set.
Collectible figurines. Tamiya
models. Board games. These are just some
of the cool toys on sale at Toybox, a
new toyshop in another prominent KL
mall. As usual, I was really excited to
be given the chance to do up a toyshop
design. Toybox in essence seeks to
provide a cozy environment where
everything is set in woody box crates
just like how most of these toys are
shipped in.
The Plus Store is a pharmacy that mainly retails your basic pharmaceutical needs as well as food and beverage products to daily commuters at various MRT locations in downtown Singapore.
Shin is a contemporary restaurant serving great Japanese cuisine somewhere in the heart of KL. The design emphasizes the use of raw materials to create a minimalist dining environment that compliments Shin's philosophy of using only the best natural ingredients as the core of their recipes and never compromising on its quality.
Continuing on a string of projects with red being the color of choice of the owners, here is a sneak preview of a new dairy kiosk that sells ice cream and yogurt. Milk will be located in an airport terminal and is targeted at travelers looking for some sweet milky indulgence.
How about a chiller for your green label? You know, something to keep your Carlsberg at -2°C while you chat up your friends before the match. A cool looking chiller that keeps your beer cool while making it all the more irresistible and tempting. Just add in ice and watch it chill.
PebbleLove is a new range of cosmetics made with love for those who love themselves. The motto for the brand is "spread the love far and wide". And quite literally, the range of facial moisturizers are packaged in little pebble shaped containers. PebbleLove aims to market their facial care products simply by spreading love pebbles to the public. Among the collaterals produced for the brand are the packaging designs, illustrations and retail displays.
