The
breathtaking view of Kuala
Lumpur as seen from Look Out
Point, Ampang. It is true that
there is really no place that
affords us a view of an
unbeatable skyline unlike many
other cities simply because KL
is in a valley. Except for this
place. Set on a hill overlooking
the city, simply standing there
and taking in the view is enough
to inspire us for the weeks
ahead. And of course, I was
thinking of the number of
designs I had spread across the
city. |

Shin is a
contemporary restaurant serving great Japanese cuisine somewhere
in the heart of KL. The design emphasizes the use of raw
materials to create a minimalist dining environment that
compliments Shin's philosophy of using only the best natural
ingredients as the core of their recipes and never compromising
on its quality. The restaurant takes up three lots with the
middle lot being used as the main entrance. |

Notebook Studio is another
computer store that I designed with
Jeih Collective
at Low Yat Plaza. This store
carries its namesake well with multiple brand choices in
notebooks and accessories. I designed the store interior, logos
as well as the in-store creative identity. |

Pavillion is
an upmarket shopping,
entertainment and dining mall in
downtown Kuala Lumpur. When
Harvey Norman, the leading
Australian home lifestyle chain
store opened an outlet there,
Samsung requested for a brand
corner to showcase their latest
LCD TVs. I designed this
pavilion that strongly positions
Samsung within the
lifestyle retail environment.
Sadly, this design never made it
through to see the light of day
because of building regulations.
But I do have a design for
Samsung that now stands at
Harvey Norman, Pavilion. Go
check it out. |
